Hurricane Katrina debris from cargo containers to actual cargo from the Mississippi State Port in Gulfport, is littered all around homes in a Gulfport, Mississippi neighborhood, August 31, 2005. Hurricane Katrina made landfall on the Mississippi Gulf Coast on Monday August 29th, 2005. Nearly a month after Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, the city of Gulfport, the port of Mississippi, shipping company officials and residents disagree over who's responsible for removing a slew of giant shipping containers that the storm tossed into a ruined neighborhood. The containers, some filled with costly, ruined cargo, were pushed inland by Katrina's wind and storm surge and have yet to be salvaged.Photo by David Purdy/Biloxi Sun Herald/KRT/ABACAPRESS.COM
