Alberta reaches out for help on COVID hospital crisis
Dr. Verna Yiu, the head of Alberta Health Services, says they are reaching out to other provinces for help with bed space and staff as a wave of COVID patients overwhelms its intensive care wards and threatens to buckle the health system in just over a week. Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador are offering help but B.C. says it doesn't have the resources to assist.
