A verdict is expected for Amanda Knox in an Italian courtroom in Florence on Wednesday. The U.S. citizen entered the tribunal in the early morning to defend herself against a 16-year-old slander conviction that she hopes to beat once and for all. Knox returned to an Italian courtroom for the first time in more than 12 years to clear herself of a slander charge that stuck even after she was exonerated in the 2007 murder of her British roommate in the idyllic hilltop town of Perugia.
