Liberal MP Randy Boissonnault says the ethics commissioner is looking into allegations that the Prime Minister’s Office pressured former attorney general Jody Wilson-Raybould over the SNC-Lavalin case, adding that the justice committee should avoid a ‘witch hunt’ the likes of which the Conservatives are proposing. He goes on to say the introduction of the “deferred prosecution agreements” in last year’s budget bill was to bring Canada in line with its trade partners – not because one corporation asked for it.
