Grey, threatening skies didn't deter a large crowd, estimated at almost 3,000 people, from attending Remembrance Day ceremonies at the cenotaph at the British Columbia legislature in Victoria. Rev. Andrew Gates says organizers clearly underestimated the turnout because only about 200 programs were printed for the event.
