Newsroom Ready: Liberals table pandemic election bill
The Liberals have introduced legislation that would spread voting over three days if there’s a federal election during the COVID-19 pandemic. It would also make it easier to vote using mail-in ballots and add two weeks of advance polls to long-term care homes. Liberal MP Kevin Lamoureux says the government wants to get the bill passed quickly, but says Elections Canada will be ready no matter what.
