Conservatives ask if Canadian fighters in Ukraine are protected
Conservative MP Garnett Genuis sought confirmation Wednesday that Canadians who go to Ukraine to join the fight against the Russian invasion will be protected from prosecution under the Foreign Enlistment Act. Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly said Canadians are being encouraged not to travel to Ukraine during the conflict.
