Bloc tables budget amendment to boost health transfers
Bloc Québecois Leader Yves-François Blanchet has tabled a budget amendment that would increase health transfers and monthly payments to seniors. The provision asks Ottawa to boost its share of health-care funding to 35 per cent — an added $28 billion this year — and hike old age security for Canadians aged 65 and over.
