Newsroom Ready: Military deploys more troops to Atlantic Canada

Defence Minister Anita Anand reported the Canadian Armed Forces now has about 600 troops on the ground in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland to help clear debris, reopen roads and check on residents' safety after post-tropical storm Fiona. Anand added that the military is prepared to deploy even more troops if required.
