Saskatchewan RCMP on review of response to mass killing
Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore, commanding officer of the RCMP in Saskatchewan, says officers were "nothing short of outstanding” when responding to the mass stabbings on James Smith Cree Nation and nearby village of Weldon. Myles Sanderson killed 11 people and injured 17 others. Sanderson, 32, died of a cocaine overdose shortly after he was taken into custody. (June 6, 2024)
