Residents return to Fort Nelson, B.C., after wildfire evacuation
Wildfire evacuation orders that forced thousands to flee Fort Nelson and the Fort Nelson First Nation in northeast British Columbia have been lifted and residents are returning home. Mayor Rob Fraser of the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality says residents are happy to be back and officials will talk to them about how the evacuation was handled. (May 27, 2024)
