The Danish Royal Yacht 'Dannebrog' is moored in the Arcachon Bay, southwestern France on September 3, 2010. The 78 metre yacht was launched by Queen Alexandrine at Copenhagen in 1931, and commissioned on 26 May 1932. She now serves as the official and private residence for HM The Queen of Denmark, HRH the Prince Consort, and members of the Royal Family when they are on official visits overseas and on summer cruises in Danish waters. When at sea, the Royal Yacht also participates in surveillance and sea-rescue services. Prince Henrik came aboard the yacht to participate in the Royal Dragon Silver Cup hosted by the Royal Danish Yacht Club in Arcachon. The regatta was created by the prince in 1991 for 8 metre 'Dragon' sailboats. The race takes place in a different country each year. Photo by Patrick Bernard/ABACAPRESS.COM
