Donald Campbell was killed his jet powered boat, Bluebird K7, on Lake Coniston. Jan. 4, 1967. Campbell died strapped into cockpit of his bullet-shaped speedboat when it somersaulted 60 feet into the air at more than 300 mph. 1. Bluebird K7 begins to leave the surface of the water. 2.
