May 26, 2024, Berlin, Germany: On May 26, 2024, a demonstration took place at Adenauerplatz in Berlin under the motto ''Lag Baomer Parade - für Peace and Tolerance, bring them home now.'' The event, which started at 1 PM, aimed to advocate for peace, tolerance, and the return of hostages still held by Hamas. The parade featured notable speeches from Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal and Berlin's Senator for Education, Youth, and Family, Katharina Guenther-Wuensch. Rabbi Teichtal, a US-born orthodox rabbi and leader of the Chabad-Lubavitch community in Berlin, stressed the importance of unity and the urgent need to secure the hostages' release. Katharina Guenther-Wuensch expressed solidarity with the parade participants, stating, ''We all stand on your side; we are here together to show that. Sadly, your parade must be under police protection. It is sad, and it makes me angry that we live in times where our streets, especially our universities, give the impression that antisemitism can be spread openly and without shame and that Israel's right to exist can be questioned.
